Team Building Activity | Life Enrichment
"Team Vision Board": This is a great team building activity. Some principles involved are sharing of ideas, individual talents highlighted, building a shared vision, and creativity. Start by having an "art" area set up with all the supplies listed below available. Ask them to create a vision board of what a great team (or family) that they would like to be a part of would look like. They can use pictures, words, drawings, etc. to create one team picture (collage). Tell them that they all must contribute to the board and that they must all agree with all the items placed on the board. After this is done, I recommend hanging this as a reminder of their vision. A positive visual reminder is a powerful tool to create the team that they envisioned.

After the activity, here are some sample debriefing questions you may want to ask (use these and also ones that fit with what you noticed):
Become the Champion you were born to be! "The actions you take and how you enjoy your life along the way will determine your ultimate happiness" ~ Juls Foos
**************************************************************
1) Strong Relationships Look back over history and you will discover that the super achievers had others that helped them accomplish their success. If you think you can go it alone, you may end up alone and not ever get to the level that is possible! What's your support team today? What weaknesses and gaps do you see that require some work? (hint: a great support team has people with different talents, personality types and expertise).
2) Be a person of integrity A person who does what they say they are going to do consistently are trusted and sought after! In addition, when you do what you say you will do, you are programming the most powerful tool you have, your brain! What kind of programming are you putting in your brain, flawed and confusing programming or clear powerful programming.
3) Get to know yourself and find strategies that work for YOU! What are your interests, motivators, strengths, skills, experiences? What are the things you love to do? How can you bring your "loves" to what you do? There are tons and tons of "how to" books out there. If they all worked for everyone, why isn't everyone using them and finding success in them? Most people buy these types of books and think "Ah ha! This book is the solution to my situation" only to find them becoming another "shelf help book" gathering dust. Why is this? It is because we are all different and what works for one person will not work for everyone. We can gain some knowledge but the real test is can you apply what you learned and can you sustain it. Find strategies that work for you and consider hiring a coach to help you discover the strategies that tap into your strengths, motivation, and personality. After discovering the strategies, a coach can help you integrate them into your life, work and circumstances so they can be sustained.
4) Identify & Eliminate Obstacles What stops you or blocks you from taking action? What things do you procrastinate on? What are the benefits of that procrastination? What are your beliefs? Champions are not only dreamers and doers, they also identify obstacles to eliminate or turn them into opportunities.
5) Take Inspired Action Inspired action means that you are energized, knowing where you are headed and you loose track of time because you are enjoying yourself. One example that you may be able to relate to is on Christmas morning, I would wake up early without an alarm clock so very excited to start the day and experience the gifts, food, and people that the day would bring. Now as an adult there are many days that I feel this same way because I purposely do things to create this energy and excitement. What inspired action do you want to take and experience? 6) Celebrate & Appreciate Take the time to celebrate and appreciate before moving on to the next goal. I am a goal oriented person who finishes one goal and was then focusing immediately upon another goal. I didn't allow myself the time to really take in what I just accomplished and this left me never quite feeling satisfied. I found that when I purposely took the time to celebrate and acknowledge all that I had done, I found a level of satisfaction that I never knew possible. Spend some time becoming the champion you were born to be and create the life you truly love, which is for your lifetime, and feel the satisfaction you are missing!
